We might be a little crazy...
I know how painful it is for you guys to constantly check in and see no new updates here… I know it’s causing you to wail and gnash your teeth… The physical pain that I’m causing you is making me you know, kind of whatever. Hurt or something.

I just haven’t had much time lately to write, guys! December was a colossal month — between freelance work and teaching with Hollis and my regular job and the boyfriend and my brother in town and the kidlet and Christmas… I’m not sure how I made it through December with my sanity intact. It was a beautiful month though, for sure… I’m just… tired.

this was when it started snowing on christmas day... never experienced snow on christmas day in my life!
I met the boyfran’s family on Christmas Day, too… Which was awesome because I realized why I like him so much — his family is so much like mine! It was really comforting because I’m not sure I could have handled another run-in with a crazy mother in law again (I need to write about the sociopath’s mother sometime — she was NUTS!). But I loved his mother and his dad was freakin’ adorable and sweet… Met his brother and sister in law, too…
he had a hard time making snow angels because his butt broke through the surface of the ice on the snow, but his arms and legs were just scraping across the top, ha!
Really, the holiday was all about meeting people… Colin met my entire family… A few of my friends… And of course, everybody loved him. He’d chime in right now and say, “I’m kind of a big deal.” Which… Yes… He really is.
And then, so far 2011 has brought us SNO-M-G. We’re still under a 4-6″ layer of ice and snow here in Atlanta which… I mean, this is stupid. We’re supposed to have fairly mild weather in January and then one final whip back into the freezing temperatures in February and then, TADA! Spring! My feet have been cold for a week — I can’t get them warm. I am seriously OVER the snow and ice… It’s been warming up a bit during the day which is causing all the ice to turn to slush and melt which is then refreezing at night… So it’s just a big fucking mess all over the place.

But here’s what I’m saying… I’m busy. I’m happy. I’m in love. I’m working a ton… And all of this is beautiful and perfect and exactly what I need right now.
