Check out the die-hard cheering fans at :50 seconds!
What we thought would be a couple of hours of cheering my mother and the other walkers on, turned into nearly six hours of woooo-ing and clapping and passing out candy and holding up signs.
It was really so fun and you can just tell, when you do something like this, that it really MATTERS to those participating.
Today is the final day of the 3-Day and my mom will walk 20 more miles today. The boy and I are headed into the city around lunchtime to have a picnic with my best friend and then we’ll go over and meet my dad for the closing ceremony.
It’s going to be an emotional day, for sure.

you have no idea how important it is to find faces that know you and love you at the cheering stations- soooo impactful- so encouraging!
A couple of years ago, my wife walked the 3 day and we went out to support her.
It was amazing to see all the people walking, so amazing we literally kept it up all day for 3 days.
We moved from location to location to be ahead of my wife but cheered everyone who came by.
The really humbling thing was that many of the walkers thanked us as we were thanking them.
Good work on cheering them on.
Yep. There were a lot of “Thank you for walking”s coming from us and a ton of “Thank you for being here”s from the walkers. I really didn’t think I would get as much out of it as I did!
